Dr. Helen Truong received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. Her clinical externships included providing care at VA Santa Maria, Orange County Retina, and the Wellish Vision Institute. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Truong is board certified by the National Board of Optometry in the treatment and management of ocular diseases including glaucoma and the use of therapeutic pharmaceutical agents. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and provides comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and co-management of refractive surgeries.
Dr. Truong has basic proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Spanish.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Truong enjoys reading, pursuing photography, and volunteering to provide vision care to underserved communities.
