Dr. Christopher Engelman is a distinguished ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma and cataract surgery. With decades of experience and a passion for teaching and research, Dr. Engelman combines clinical expertise with a patient-focused approach to deliver outstanding results.
Education
Dr. Engelman graduated with High Distinction in General Scholarship from U.C. Berkeley before earning his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Stanford University and pursued advanced training through a glaucoma fellowship at the Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Engelman is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and actively participates in leading professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Glaucoma Society.

He is also actively involved in research, advising medical technology companies such as Atia Vision, Myra Vision, and Keda Technology to develop innovative treatments for cataracts and glaucoma.
Outside of work, Dr. Engelman enjoys backpacking, reading fiction, and spending quality time with his family.
